Coaching Courses, Workshops, & Certificate Programs
Our courses are rooted in – social constructivism. We emphasise learning through applied projects and give you a workspace so that you can practice. We support you as a team. All courses have a facilitator and assistant facilitators(moderators) and are held in the Moodle environment. Depending on the length of the course one or three synchronous (real-time) sessions are held (beginning, middle and end of the course) which assist you with your understanding, usage and application of the various Moodle Tools. eCoaching Communication Strategies (Nov 16 -19, 2009): To provide counsellors with guided practice to become comfortable with a few critical distance strategies used with on-line clients. Through on-line synchronous/asynchronous discussions of key techniques and your applied project work, you will be introduced to techniques to help create a safe on-line atmosphere for coaching situations. You will learn to respond to clients and provide constructive feedback, motivate clients to keep up participation, etc. In addition, you will have the opportunity to search and use resources to support positive working relationships with your clients and your colleagues in this new growing practice of e-counselling.
